The touchpad Synaptic settings were still missing too. The touchpad worked on the setup screen, but then stopped once I got everything set up. So, I reset my entire computer from scratch. Going into “Additional mouse options”, Synaptic settings were also missing. When I tried looking at tutorials online I found that I didn’t have access to the touchpad, the settings for it wasn’t there. I went to sleep with the touchpad working, and when I woke up it wasn’t working. My issue: Yesterday, my laptop was working fine. I’m restricted to using Tab and that can only do so much. I can’t even use the mouse keys to use the mouse anymore.

I use my laptop for work, but it’s almost unusable now.
